Surgical training at the University of Miami brought Dr. Kichler to south Florida, where she stayed to complete her Minimally Invasive Surgical Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida. After working several years in weight loss surgery and aesthetics, Dr. Kichler completed additional fellowship training in Cosmetic Plastic Surgery and is now a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery as well as the American College of Surgeons.

Her primary areas of focus include body contouring, liposuction, breast surgery, and injectables. Dr. Kichler is always willing to mentor students and residents and remains a Volunteer Associate Professor for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Five Facts to Know About Dr. Kandace

1. Dr Kandace grew up on a farm in Alabama, herding cattle and grading sweet potatoes. Her southern roots translated into an incredible work ethic, as she became the first person in her immediate family to attend college, and the first doctor in her family.
2. Surgery is her calling. Dr. Kichler knew from day one of the anatomy lab in medical school that she was born to be a surgeon, as she moved the gentlemen aside to complete her dissections.
3. Before training in Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Kandace was a board-certified weight loss surgeon. Having performed hundreds of abdominal and breast surgeries for both benign and cancerous diseases, she is an expert on the anatomy involved in tummy tucks, liposuction, skin removal, and breast surgery. Plus as a female and mother, Dr. Kandace understands the challenges women face with body image, especially after having children and around massive weight loss.
4. Dr Kandace is also an experienced facial injector. Prior to starting with Hass Plastic Surgery, Dr Kandace was medical director and co-owner of her own medical spa, which specialized in Med Spa facial rejuvenation such as Botox, Dermal Fillers, Thread lifts, and other less invasive procedures. She enjoys merging the skills she has in the injector with her surgical practice for complete cosmetic care.
5. Dr Kandace has a passion for education. Dr. Kandace has served as a volunteer and associate professor in surgery for the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, NOVA Southeastern University, Kansas City School of Biomedical Sciences. She has also served as a teaching attendant for residents in General Surgery through the University of Miami. She is still active in helping write journal articles and perform clinical research with engaged students, as she loves serving in the mentor role.
